As part of the Coffin Hop event featuring 50+ horror authors and artists now through Halloween, I’m happy to offer a free autographed copy of my novel SUFFER THE CHILDREN.
About the book: A mysterious disease claims the world’s children before bringing them back. To continue surviving, however, they need to ingest human blood.
As the blood supply wanes, parents struggle and compete to keep their children alive. In the end, the only source left will be each other. For these parents, the ultimate question will be: How far would you go for someone you love?
So how do you get a copy?
Submit a comment to this post answering this question: Which do you think you’d have better odds at survival, a vampire or zombie apocalypse, and why?
(Note your comment may not appear right away, as due to spammers, I have to approve them.)
OR visit my Facebook page here, where I’ll be posting the same question.
The winner will be announced on Halloween.

What a book! Oh gosh I’m dying to know the end. Okay so which one of these two evils will I be able to survive? Mmmmm. Well let’s say it’s a vampire apocalypse, I can probably manage to survive by becoming a vampire. If it’s a zombie apocalypse, my chances are slimmer, given I lose my human intelligence as soon as I turn. So… I’d say vampire apocalypse. Thanks for the awesome giveaway and happy hop!

I think I’d have a better chance at surviving the Zombie Apocalypse and that’s mainly because I assume that zombies will be the typical ones we’re used to seeing – dumb, slow, and relatively easy to avoid. If the assumption proved to be false, we’re all screwed!

I would survive a Zombie apocalypes better because they dont have any supernatural powers and I already have a plan 😉

I’d have better odds at surviving a zombie apocalypse. I’m slow, but they tend to be slower.

As long as we’re talking slow, roaming zombies, I think I’d prefer a zombie apocalypse. If we’re talking RAGE zombies, like 28 days later, nobody’s surviving that!

I would more easily survive a zombie apocalypse because of all I have learned from watching the Walking Dead, plus they are easier killed than a vampire.

I think I’d have a better chance at surviving vampires. I’d barricade my home, or find a secure place to hide at night and make sure I had UV lights wired up. If the power went out, I’d find a way to run the generators.
Great hop stop!

I’m not particularly sure. I guess it would depend on where I am at the time it begins. Vampires are particularly meant to be of higher intelligence and have better abilities in fiction these days, so they would likely be able to find me faster (of course, depending on what type of talents they’d have). Zombies, being slower and stupid, would lead to my survival as I’d be better at escaping from them.

Unless the zombies are some of the mutated zombies that are faster, smarter, and better able to manipulate their hands, I’d survive the zombie apocalypse better. I’m not very fast myself, already have a lovely machete (I won it) primed for chopping heads, have numerous and assorted large (HUGE) chef’s knives that would also make great weapons, and am willing to kill other to protect my family. Vampires are fast, might have the ability to shift into mist, do not need to be invited into homes to enter, are not affected by garlic, holy water, or crosses (such rumors people create in hopes of safety), and are exceptionally strong. Being slow, weak, and tasty, I’m screwed.

I’d probably be able to survive a vampire apocalypse, only because they might let some people live, unlike zombie’s because they eat everybody.
