In Argentinian film PHASE 7, Coco and his pregnant wife Pipi enter bewildered denial when a flu pandemic results in the quarantine of their building. As resources dwindle and society collapses, the neighbors turn on each other while Coco is mentored by the survivalist who lives down the hall. Not quite comedy, not quite serious, it achieves a certain charm, and I enjoyed Coco’s reluctant progression from nice guy to apocalyptic warrior.
