THEY LIVE Meets IDIOCRACY In BRANDED

June 3, 2012 by Craig DiLouie Leave a Comment

In BRANDED, a film set in a Dystopian future, a large corporation has seeded the population with a genetic code to make them perfect consumers. One man can see what is happening, and tries to stop it. This looks awesome. (Although it’s funny, the society depicted in the film has largely already happened, just without the genetic manipulation. We already have a consumer society in which people will riot over prices and brands, but not their rights as citizens.) Stars Ed Stoppard, Leelee Sobieski and the great Max Von Sydow. Releases September 7 (until then, watch NETWORK to get your fix).
