SLEEPERS by Jacqueline DrugaIn SLEEPERS by Jacqueline Druga, a series of natural disasters rattle the world, followed by a disease that turns its victims into violent killers intent on hunting the survivors. The story focuses on Mera, a mother fighting to save what’s left of her family. What caused the disasters and the plague? God, or something else? Can the survivors beat fate? Druga writes with real passion and charm, particularly in the interaction of her characters, including her stubborn, sometimes comical narrator, and offers us something new in the apocalyptic genre.
