RUN By Blake Crouch

June 20, 2012 by Craig DiLouie Leave a Comment

RUN by blake crouchIn RUN by Blake Crouch, a portion of the population–people who stayed up late to view an astral event–begin to see all other humans who did not see the same lights in the sky as inhuman enemies that must be destroyed. Jack Colclough flees with his family, hoping to find someplace safe, but the killers organize, turning into genocidal armies. In a lot of ways, it’s similar to David Moody’s seminal HATER, but despite these similarities, it has its own strength. I was pretty gripped reading it. The action is tight, the murderers are convincingly scary and menacing, and the ending is satisfying. Recommended.
