I just received a letter from LVNtoRN.net, a website providing a resource for nurses and nursing students. They are developing a list of notable books called the Top 50 Must-Read Books for Nurses in 2012, and let me know that THE THIN WHITE LINE has been nominated for the list. This is obviously a serious honor to even be considered. I’m glad they recognized the research that went into the writing for the book, which presents a speculative but almost nonfiction-style view of what a major flu pandemic might really look like. Michael Coston, a retired paramedic who runs the site Avian Flu Diary, called it “an unflinching, realistic and informative look at how Canada might fare during a pandemic.”
THE THIN WHITE LINE, which I self published, is available in paperback at Amazon, but you can get it free for eBook here.
