Just finished reading Matt Haig’s THE RADLEYS, a story about a family of vampires, the parents having chosen a responsible life abstaining from blood, the children suffering the same addiction but unable to understand why they are so different from other teenagers. Then the father’s brother, a practicing vampire, comes back into their lives, disrupting their very safe but lifeless existence. The story is told in present tense, with each chapter headlined by a phrase from the chapter, which interested me as this was a technique I used in TOOTH AND NAIL. Well written, periodically humorous, very entertaining and original.
