In this music video for Moby’s “Be The One,” a group of scientists studies a bizarre alien artifact. Ignoring the protests of the others, one activates it–with horrifying consequences.
A Child Bears Witness In “Rerun”
In this music video for “Rerun” by Elan, a child survives a car crash during some type of apocalyptic event and walks the streets, bearing witness to the atrocities and despair of mankind’s final hours.
Dancing On The World’s Grave
I loved this post-apocalyptic music video for the song “Distopija 9/11,” in which Earth has been almost completely obliterated. The last two people on Earth, members of the Illuminati, find an abandoned TV set in the ruins, and, using magic, cause it to produce a greatest hits of life on Earth prior to its final demise–mindless entertainment coupled with mounting destruction. The Illuminati, presumably having engineered all this, caper playfully and break into dance, overjoyed to see their plan realized.
Party At Ground Zero
In the ’80s music video for “Party at Ground Zero,” a great old song by Fishbone, the world’s elites congregate in a bunker at the end of the world, unaware that one of the guests may not be what he seems. Great takeoff on Poe’s “Masque of the Red Death.”
GWAR: “Zombies, March!”
The dead rise and crave the flesh of the living in this GWAR music video.
