“Paul lowers his respirator mask to cover his face while the others lift wet bandannas over their mouths. Steve pours gasoline into the hole with the body and Sarge lights it. They step back from the sudden fury of heat and light. Sarge insisted on burning him. That way, he said, nothing will be able to dig him up and eat him.”
Run For Your Life, By Aaron Stoquert
Musician Aaron Stoquert recorded five songs about zombies and how they might feel, a perspective of the undead. The songs are well produced and more than a bit haunting. My favorite is probably the first one, “Bunker Hill”–it’s got a little madness blended with the sad tones.

Life After Chernobyl
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster. These amazing photos tell the story of the ruins and offer a glimpse of Life After People.
Excerpt: THE INFECTION
“They have the Bradley, weapons, and the illusion of safety as long as the rig’s engine keeps humming and its treads keep moving. They need supplies, though, especially water and diesel. They need to find a place unspoiled by Infection, where they can rest. The simple fact is they cannot keep fighting like this. You can only win so many fights before it starts to feel like you are losing.”
Jonathan Maberry Reviews THE INFECTION
David Moody Reviews THE INFECTION
David Moody, author of horror classics HATER and AUTUMN, calls THE INFECTION, new from Permuted Press, “not just another zombie story … DiLouie takes everything you know and love about the world and turns it into something else entirely. Unflinching horror and surreal, almost dream-like imagery combine to make THE INFECTION a disturbing, nightmarish read.”
