I’m a big believer in the concept that the apocalypse is happening right now, but so slowly we’re not noticing it, at least for now. We’re the proverbial frog that gets boiled one degree at a time, and only notices when it’s completely cooked. When the trend does accelerate, it’s going to get ugly, and it will be nothing a bug-out bag can really help with. Of course, I’m talking about overpopulation, environmental depletion and climate change. A new paper in NATURE, authored by 22 prominent scientists, basically says we’re screwed if we don’t get our act together on environmental depletion. We’re talking die-off, collapse and human misery. The tipping point has already been reached in some regions of the world, as one of the paper’s authors writes:
“I just returned from a trip to the high Himalayas in Nepal, where I witnessed families fighting each other with machetes for wood–wood that they would burn to cook their food in one evening. In places where governments are lacking basic infrastructure, people fend for themselves, and biodiversity suffers. We desperately need global leadership for planet Earth.”
Leadership? What’s that? Get the bad news here.
Unfortunately, our thoroughly corrupted political system appears to be incapable of doing anything about it.

Craig,
I believe you’re right and it sucks. I think it’ll come down to a lack of fresh water if we’re unlucky. If we’re lucky we’ll get decimated by something like a ‘super’ bird flu (which will be like a soft reset button).
Anyway…Infection 1 and 2 totally ruled and it soooo sux that I have to wait on part 3 (hurry man!!!). You’re a great thinker and an even better writer. Keep it up man…until the end…

Thanks for your kind words, Matt! Glad you enjoyed THE INFECTION and THE KILLING FLOOR, and hope you’ll leave an Amazon review.
There are a ton of reviews of TOOTH AND NAIL on Amazon, if you want to see what people think of the book!
Cheers,
Craig
