REMAINS (2011)

March 21, 2013 by Craig DiLouie Leave a Comment

In REMAINS, the world’s do-gooders screw up big time when they shove the world’s nukes into the “nuclear oven,” which explodes, turning most of the world’s population into scorched zombies that with each passing day, get stronger, smarter and more aggressive. In a hotel in Reno, a small group of survivors hole up and hope for rescue. If you can get past the premise, the fact that none of the characters are remotely likable, and the horrifically bad decisions every one of the characters makes, the zombies themselves and some of the special effects depicting an apocalyptic Reno weren’t bad.
