In COCKNEYS VS ZOMBIES (2012), a group of bank robbers realize the cops are no longer after them, but a horde of zombies is, as a viral outbreak of zombie disease overruns the East End of London. Their new mission is to rescue their crotchety grandfather, played to the hilt by the terrific Alan Ford, along with his friends, from a senior facility and get out of town. I thought it was a lot of fun. Not as funny or charming as ZOMBIELAND, and at times it seemed the pacing was a bit off, but it had tons of humor and charm anyway, with likable characters doing what we want to see them doing–surviving and shooting their way through a nicely rendered zombie wasteland.
