Left Overs reviews THE INFECTION, writing, “DiLouie’s greatest strength is in his ability to move the story along at a fast yet organic pace. There isn’t a single spot of unimportant or boring information, and the characters develop on their own … I was so impressed by THE INFECTION that I almost flipped to the first page to read it again … This book will appeal to readers of all levels of zombie experience, from the diehard survivalist who is counting the days until the apocalypse, to the closet zombie reader. Whatever you do, go and purchase this book RIGHT NOW!” Thanks, Holly Ann!

If you haven’t read it yet, I hope you’ll pick it up. If you have, thank you for reading my work and making its success possible! Bricks of the Dead is an awesome web comic about the zombie apocalypse created entirely from LEGO dioramas complete with voice bubbles and commentary by the author/artist. It’s a lot of fun, and I highly recommend it. (See their review of TOOTH AND NAIL here.) The site also does interviews, and I was happy to be interviewed about my work, particularly the upcoming THE KILLING FLOOR, the sequel to THE INFECTION coming out from Permuted Press in early 2012. It was a fun interview, with different questions than I’m usually asked, and I hope you’ll check it out here.
Got a Kindle? Looking for great read? Get the gift of horror this holiday season! Thanks to a special sale on select Permuted Press titles, now you can own THE INFECTION for $2.99–about 70% off the standard price–for a short time only. Click here to get it now.
My new apocalyptic horror novel, THE KILLING FLOOR, is coming soon in early 2012 from Permuted Press. The sequel to THE INFECTION, THE KILLING FLOOR continues this popular story about people fighting to survive against impossible odds. Peter Clines, author of EX-HEROES and EX-PATRIOTS, reviews THE INFECTION, writing, “It’s about the different types of folks who might survive the apocalypse, how they managed to survive, and the kind of people they’ve become in the immediate aftermath. It’s about trying to deal with the fact that your family and friends are all dead while something else is trying to infect you … This book was an absolute joy to read … If you want a book that will disturb you and give you the creeps, check this one out.”
Robert J. Duperre, author of THE FALL, reviewed THE INFECTION for the fourth issue of SHOCK TOTEM, which besides reviews and interviews, is also chock full of previously unpublished horror fiction from Weston Ochse, Lee Thompson and others. Duperre writes, “DiLouie does a cut-up job of presenting what it would really be like if everything were to fall apart. The human element is on full display here–the longing, the despair, the paralyzing fear … To say that I found THE INFECTION to be astute and poignant would be an understatement. It’s inventive and fresh, offering an insider’s perspective on pain and terror … This is a really good book, folks. It made me edgy, sad, joyous and angry–sometimes at the same time. DiLouie is an author who knows his voice, and he uses it to near perfection … this small-press offering is just about as good as it gets.”
Doubleshot Reviews says of THE INFECTION: “DiLouie created a vivid world of mayhem and destruction. A environment made of nightmares that I sometimes had a hard time believing anyone would WANT to survive let alone be able to … Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining read …” Thanks, Heather!
