Bad reader reviews are part of the business. Even the King James Bible only has 4 stars on Amazon, and that was supposedly written by God!
The worst thing you can do as an author is get into an argument with a reader, as happened here.
Ric’s Reviews reviews THE INFECTION, my apocalyptic horror from Permuted Press, and rates it 92% out of 100%, writing, “Fans of the genre will love this, it’s everything the recent TV show THE WALKING DEAD aspires to be. Throw in a couple of RESIDENT EVIL type monsters and the heart of 28 DAYS LATER and you have all the best elements of a zombie story in one place.” Thanks, Ricky!

Post-apocalooza! Author Noah Mullette-Gillman interviews seven authors of post-apocalyptic fiction about the endless fascination that people have for the end of the world, including yours truly discussing the zombie apocalypse.

If you enjoy an author’s work, you can make a big difference by taking a few moments to write a short review at Amazon. Just as important, you can make just as big a difference by elevating the prominence of other good reviews by clicking them as “helpful.” These reviews are highly influential to readers. Thank you for you for your help!
RevolutionSF reviews THE INFECTION, new from Permuted Press, and calls it “a good read. Craig DiLouie raises the action and strangeness up by levels over the course of the book, in convincing strongly written prose. He goes from moments of stillness and calm to breakneck madness at the drop of a hat … There is some talk of a sequel to this book. If so, I look forward to it.” Thanks, Matt!

Just finished DUST, Joan Frances Turner’s novel about life among the undead. Normally, reading a novel entirely from the zombie perspective would not be my thing–too hard to connect with, not enough actual horror–but Frances Turner pulls it off beautifully. I loved almost everything about her highly original book, with my only complaint being that I found the ending a bit long and unsatisfying. Highly recommended.
Just finished EMPIRE by David Dunwoody and was impressed with his writing style, which had me turning pages. The book offers up a lot of grisly action and fresh ideas. I liked the portrayal of a very slowly dying United States.
Part 1, episode 1 of the original SURVIVORS (1975-1977), the classic post-apocalyptic BBC series. A killer plague destroys the world, leaving the few survivors to pick up the pieces. The story begins here.
Did you know the world is supposed to end May 21, 2011? So far, the doomsayers are 0 for 0, however, as shown in this National Geographic article, so there’s likely no need to worry.
